    Hi Guys

Just thought I'd start a new thread on my new sps reef.
I like simple setups, so this system is very basic. The system has been running for about a month or so, and I know that's a bit to soon to have stocked the tank, but things are going well and corals and fish seem happy. I believe good husbandry can be one of the most important parts to any reef tank, so I'm working really hard to keep everything stable at the moment.

    The tank is as follows:

    DT: 150lx60wx50h
Sump: 120lx45wx45h The sump has 3 chambers, skimmer and some liverock in the first, DSB/Refugium in the second and uplift in the last.
    Skimmer: DNW250 reef octopus
    Heater: Eheim 300w
Flow: 4 5000l/h sun suns (temporary)
Lighting: 2x Odysea quad 54w units

    Fish stock:

    Bellus Angel Female
    Potters Angel
    2x Chalk bass
    Collette's Reef Basslet
    Mandarin

    Coral:

Mix of sps frags. The reason for mainly stocking frags is that the system is still very new and I don't want to risk whole colonies and I have duplicates of most of my frags. The other reason is I'd like to see how they grow, if I have the patience...

Starting with a small frag and growing it into a large colony is what I'm hoping to achieve.

That's basically it. Sorry about pic quality, it's cellphone pics. Time for some pics :)

Thanks for all the kind words. The plan is for a minimal scape so that the sps can fill the tank out. Well that's the plan...

Hey Guys thanks for all the kind words. Really hoping all goes well with this system.

Thanks. The problem is, as I'm sure you guys know, I'm never happy with the scaping...but ill leave it for a while to give the frags a chance to grow.

I do have one question. What would you guys say, under perfect conditions should sps grow?

Just curious as I'd really like more growth for now than colour.

    @SpsMad!!!!

Wonderful SPS collection you have there. And in no time theyre gonna grow and look super cool. I can really see you enjoy keeping your tank in pristine condition. Very important step to healthy livestock. Enjoy your tank and keep up the good work.

Very very nice...I say leave the scaping as is..Almost reminds me of the scaping of a reef in the sky on Zeovit.com

Thanks. I will leave the scaping for now to let the frags grow a bit.

I must admit it is already growing quite quick. Your green plate, to me, is probably the prettiest sps I've ever seen, it inspired me. So now I just need to be patient and let it grow.
