Particularly like his comments about hardness, as I think thats the key ingredient, I am battling with mine and the corals are suffering

I am winning with Kent coral builder, have brought it up from 6 where it has been for a number of weeks, to 8 dHK today, I have a kalk stirrer with the Ca/Mg/Sr mix which keeps my Ca stable, but I do need to dose Mg every now and again - but obviously a stirrer does nothing for hardness, so I will have to invest in a CaRX.
Trying to bullet proof and automate my new system as much as possible.
(LOL)

That would, in this humble reefers opinion, cost you R4k in globes alone every year, assuming you were buying BLV's from the lamphouse and not paying double at a pet shop......
