Has anybody got any idea what this may possibly be? It's hard to the touch when the polyps are retracted.

    Alveopora it is.

i found the same species near an island a year ago and its Alveopora sp. im thinking mostly minuta, but could be a different species. the reason for Alveopora is the number of tentacles and also the clup-shaped end to the tentacles that is characteristic of the genus.

I dont think so....its a porites for sure, got the same stuff in my tank, polyps are far to small to be Alveopora.
