    Hi guys

I'm in the (almost) final planning stages for this reef until I order the tank and get it wet,:)

Now I just need some guys and gals help and opinions.

My equipment and tank size etc. is as follows

    650 x 650 x 500( water level at 46 or 47 )
    Lighting: 1 ecotech radion xr30w
Flow: 2 mp10 vortech pumps on 85-90% reef crest
    Filtration: jns sk-2 skimmer
Jns biopellet reactor with vertex biopellets
    Jns media reactor with carbon
18 kegs of Fiji live rock total
Return pump is a sicci but not sure of model
    300w hydro heater
Tank is to be controller by a reef angel unit with 16 plug points, 2 x 2 dosing pumps, and the wifi attachment

What I'm going to dose if a 2 part solution, red sea abc+ and a coral food which I'm not sure of yet

    Stocking list:
    1 flame angel
1 or 2 purple firefish or normal firefish
1 or 2 yellow watchman goby
    1 pistol shrimp
    3 cleaner shrimp
    1 banded coral shimp
    1 or 2 peppermint shrimp
    1 or 2 harlequin shrimp

    Coral:
Sps dominated with a ric garden on the bottom

Could you guys tell me what you think and also what are the suggested parameters that you guys with sps in your tanks are running at and also any suggestions

    Thanks

Sounds cool, cant go wrong with that size. ULNS is how it should be kept if you want best out of your sps coral and you can achieve that with ZEOvit. Good luck

First, will this tank be rimless? or Euro braced?
Reason is that firefish are notorious jumpers and on a rimless tank they will go carpet surfing very quickly.

Hi riaan, ive had my firefish in my cube rimless reef tank for 3 months now, & it hasnt even made a single "great escape" . Touchwood;)
Just be sure to keep it with other peaceful fish, otherwise it will be a gonner!!!

    Visser,
Although I am happy for you that you havent lost fish to jumping yet, I have to agree with @RiaanP. I also have a rimless tank and have lost a few Firefish and Dartfish to jumping. They are extremely nervous little fish and any sudden movements in the tank makes them jittery and they jump.... very sad but true :(

Instead of the fire fish I was thinking of a female leered wrasse
    Would it work?

    Thanks

Very nice size tank. Pellet reactor will work but also consider Zeovit. This system to me gives very good results and it is not more expensive to run then other systems for SPS and gives the best results. I would consider a small tang like a Tomini or yellow eyed kole instead of the flame angel. Blue reef chromis or Springer damsels are awesome.

i have considered the zee route but i don't want to constantly dose things as for bio pellets the bear minimum is the reactor, pellets and a skimmer.

i have settled on the flame angel as i like it better and it doesn't need a tank upgrade down the road
