Spot the Chitons..

    Just wanted to share some pics of what im pretty sure are Chitons.

    Still busy trying to do some research on these guys, if anyone has anything to share
    it would be much appreciated.

    looks lilke them to me ...have they got 8 plates / valves ?

    Very primative mollusks , also known as coat of mail snails i think. They normally roll up (almost like an armadillo) when lifted

    And some of them has tiny hairs on them, that when you touch them it itches like hell.

    Definately chitons. Pretty harmless

    i dont want to put one in my tank i dont think my skimmer can handle all the whale Pooh.:biggrin:

    Also found a very small Chiton on a piece of LR. Hehe looked like a "fossil" at first...
