Sponge kiling GSP

    Ive got a Sponge growing over my grean star polops. Does anny body hav a idea hou to get the sponge of the GSP or to kill the sponge whith out hurting the GSP?

    Having a simular problem but mine doesn't seem to be killing the gsp just growing imbetween the polyps. my sponge is white.

    The pic is good but I am not sure if it is a sponge or dead tissue. Is the white stuff fast bound to the rock/GSP or loose?

    If it is a sponge they don't like being exposed to air. You could try taking the rock with the sponge out of the water for a few minutes. Not long enough for the GSP to dry out and be harmed but hopefully long enough to harm/kill the sponge.
