I dont think it's a cuke kukieb! Cucumbers are usualy round in shape not flatish at the bottom - but what I would suggest untill some positively I.D's this thingy - sump it - coz lets say some time from now someone here on MASA has had a bad experience where will you start looking for this dude in that monster tank? If its a cucumber it will also have like "flowers" at one end of its body - that's its mouth....

We are watching very closely but will move it to the sump if some one doesnt id it by tonight

Half of the tank doesnt have live rock yet and we move him to that side so he wont get to the live rock soon

    Thanks chika

The Australian Museum Sea Slug Forum is moderated as we don't want the wrong type of "nudis" turning up on our pages.. A copy of your message will be sent automatically to your email address for your records. We try and answer all messages, but sometimes we receive far more than we can process immediately. Howzit Brandon. Okes - I am not too sure that this is a sea slug. Looks more like a sort of chaeton (sp?)...... just a very strange one at that.

Brandon - do you know if this thing is soft or "hard" to the touch? Does it contract at all when disturbed? How does it move? Like a snail? (with some sort of "foot"?)

I found the same creature in my tank a couple of weeks ago. Moved about the same speed as a snail (doplose slak) :p
Mine definatly didn't like the light.

I would say its moves like a snail but its long like a worm ... when we moved it, it folded into a ball...it seems soft (not gonna touch it lol)

this one out in the light
