Some kind of Coral???

    HI found this on my 4 day old nano

    I added the rock on thursday and friday night I saw something pink starting to since then it has tripled in size (2 cm now) and looks like this (its so exciting :lol: )

    Maybe not a coral... maybe foraminiferans

    Do they also have polyp like things that look like flowers?

    Cuz this one has polyps

    Just found another interesting 'thing' under the new rock (cured) I added 2 days ago

    Can someone plz id it

    Also found lots of bristleworms, crabs, one micro brittle star, and one FLAT WORM :nono: got him out quicker than you can say origami.

    That is definately a sponge. As for the growth of your first one I would wager that it's a sponge. Lucky live rock you have there. They don't need light in order to survive so don't turn them up to face the light

    Yeah its was under the rock so I will make sure it doesnt get light.

    I should hope its lucky since I paid R 150 per KG

    It it hard or soft if you touch it? Does it have zig zag fine lines on the coral?

    here you can see that its not lie flat on the rock but grow up (like a tree) difficult to explain.

    I'm thinking its a distichopera. Also a non photosynthetic coral. Google it and see if it looks the same
