Hi, I would like to know if one should target feed soft corals (like mushrooms, zoas and when I get my ricordea’s)? Plus when one target feeds should I turn off the pumps and if so how long should I leave them off for? Look forward to hearing back from you all.

i dont target feed the soft corals as they tend to feed themselves to whatever food floats in the tank.Target feeding can encourage quicker growth tho

    Hi Dean,

I target feed my corals with Coral Frenzy from Monday to Saturday. I use a 60ml plastic syringe with a large nozzle and turn off all my powerheads for an hour. All my corals are growing extremely well. I have Zoas, Mushrooms, Xenias, Acroporas, Blastomusso, Tubastrea, Sinularia & Euphylias.

If you have a coral that needs target feeding then it's worth while just target feeding the rest.

Naughty me I have a Sun Coral I target feed so I feed the rest
