Two brief excursions to the local rock pools have revealed the following worthwhile specimens:

    1) goldern headed jawfish:thumbup:
    2) moorish idols, nice size too:slayer:
    3) clown surgeon
    4) bunch of those blue and gold damsels (that eventually turn dull brown as they mature)
    5) cleaner wrasse
    6) couple of moon wrasse

Must say the first 2 surprise me. Never saw these during my previous fish keeping days

Nice Fish, but please dont be tempted to keep a moorish idol, they are very difficult to keep.

Walking the dogs on the beach friday afternoon (high tide!) and caught a small gorgeous gussy butterfly. can't keep him in my reef tank so he's in the holding tank at the mo. Might swop him if anyone is interested?

What is he eating Brent? The Gorgeous gussy butterfly? If you feed enough, then butterflies won't go for your corals. But then you have to feed a lot.

They are reefsafe. But they are little devils, just like their connections.
Hi Brent. You wont be able to swop the fish. Swopping, selling and trading of local fish is illegal bud.

    Very nice size, Durleo.
I love these fish, always been one of my favourites.

Didn't try catch anything but went rock hopping this weekend. Basically saw:
    1) couple of jewelled wrasse
    2) lots of small cleaner wrasse
    3) pair of coral shrimps
    4) very small Semi
    5) golden headed jawfish
    6) number of butterflies incl Lunula, Vagabond, Kleini
    7) small spotted hawkfish
    8) lots of fair size lion fish
    9) couple of small spotted long nose puffers
and then all the normal stuff ie. convicts, brown wrasse, small moon wrasse, damsels, bristle tooth tangs etc.

:p Not really - That guy is gonna get caught - i almost had him last week and when i turned to get another net He darted out of a hole and swam away:razz:

I chased this one under a ledge and tried to get him out. I though i lost him and gave up but as i was goin back to the catch bucket i found him in my net - He must have darted in and i didnt see him:thumbup:
