I do no know. Picture is really not helping much. Can you take it out and take another 2 photo's where the snail is on a white plate or paper. One from the top and another from bellow. Or put 2 next to each other. A rough idea of size would help as well

Hi @Keanan , i would say a zebra stripe turbo snail by the looks of it. Very nice for algae control, but they do tend to grow quite large & knocks over everything when its fully grown. I got a couple of them that i had to move to my quaranteen tank because of its size!!!
Does it look like this one?[IMG]

Hi @RiaanP, sorry I should have mentioned that its about 3mm or 4mm. Unfortunately I couldnt get a better pic as I used my phone and cant find it, that was also the biggest one I've seen, the rest is still tiny.
All the tiny ones are either on the glass somewhere, where there's algae or on the overflow but that one was "scavenging" the tank last night.

@Visser, it does kind look like that but its too small for me to make out if it is or not. Its much light in colour tho.

@Lord_Blackadder, I cant seem to find it, but will try to get a decent pic of it when I find it again.

Ok well don't stress, it's definitely an algae eater...either a turban or a trochid. Just comes down to curiosity.

I think that I have the same kind of snail in my tank, its been tiny for ages now though. It never used to come out but lately its been appearing all over the place. Will try get a pic of it if I see it. The only snails i have had are turbo snails and a tiger turbo. So i would guess its one of the two.
