    Hi everyone,
I have snail like looking creatures in my fuge. They don't have a shell but rather a "hairy" looking covering - something like a sea cucumber/slug.
They have a long nose like feeler.
Size is probably 10mm or so.

Also, I'm battling to get an ID on this Starfish - I've had him nearly a year and has grown nearly twice his size. I found him in Plett. (Legally)

    Thanx
    Danny

Difficult to see from the pics, but it looks to be a sea hare. They are pretty safe and feed primarily on algae, diatoms and other marine plant material.

    Thanx Apollo

I guessed sea hare as well.
Any idea on the sea star?

    Danny,

Difficult to ID the star from the pic alone. Looks to be a common starfish ( Asterias rubens).
However, I would be purely guessing....

Maybe do a search for "snail fur". Hydractinia echinata.

Thanks for the lead - I'll check it out. The more I watch these guys the more they look like snails - quite a few babies around as well.
