    Hi all

I'm looking for a small nano that I can use as a holding tank when I go to the coast and collect my fish... It doesn't need to be in good nik but everything must work...

    Let me know. Thanks

i use a 10lt square bucket. I have a spare airpump and 25w heater. Have a battery powered airpump for the car. Bucket has a lid and when i'm driving back, i cling wrap the top, then put lid over so the water does not spill out. Works wonderfully.

depending on how much and what you want to collect, get a bigger bucket

if you going to the coast , water changes are free, a sealable container, air pump and heater is perfect, swap out 50% daily of the same temp

Thanks but I would prefer a little Nano with lights, skimmer, wave pump and heater. its just easier and you can keep an eye on your stock from a distance.

    I used a 20L tub.
For a week, I do not worry about water quality. I just do 50% water changes. Only catch is the temperature. So I collect the new water and let it stand in the container for a couple of hours next to the tub. So that the ambient room temperature set both at the same temperature. No need for heaters as well, as the sea water this time of the year is COLD

Only piece of equipment needed is a small 240L/h or smaller powerhead. That is placed so that it points straight up. Will give enough water movement and will ensure gas exchange. Do not use bigger than 300L/h powerheads, you will find the powerhead heating up the water.

In the summer with the water warmer, then you could use heaters. But then the 50% changes becomes a little bit more difficult to get both the tub and the new water at the same temp.
