    Hi there people -

I have now started up again - and even after a few months, I STILL don't have any amphipods in my tank. I was wondering if someone who has millions of these little critters, would mind selling me a small piece of live rock on which these critters are breeding, as well as possibly some worms?

    Many thanks.

Jacques how far are you from the ocean or some descent Rock pools. A R55.00 permit at the post office and a walk at low tide will give you more amphipods and copepods that live rock could ever supply. Cape Town is copepod/Amphipod heaven

PM me if I can help. I will be in Cape Town 3 December and will show you how to gather some if you wish

    Andre

More than happy to get together and share the easy way to keep your fish smiling. We can also catch some mysis although I find them fat more abundant in the Eastern Cape. Keep the date open and keep a eye on the tide as this will have a effect on when we head out.

The only condition is that you might have to slip some in a bag and send them to me via my courier every now and then. If you want to see a Seahorse thrive supply them live food;)

    Hi,

    Have some available.

We can also try to scoop some off the sand bed.

    PM me for pickup.

    Regards

Just to confirm that I will be in Cap Town on the 4th & 5th December 2012. Not sure what the tide times look like during this time but we should find a gap which we could use to collect on a lower tide.

    Hi everyone -

Many thanks for the comments and posts. And I am terribly sorry that I was not able to make it on Saturday.

I finished working on my car at +-3pm, then my folks arrived at 3:30pm to come and watch the rugby at my place.

So - I was not able to get around.

Ivan - this would be great thanks. Seahorse - I am quite close - driving distance, but only a few minutes' away. I have thought of trying to get some at the rock pools - that's what I did previously. But, it has been such a long time since I did this last, I do not know what methods/tools to use to collect pods!

Ivan - where in the world are you these days? I am busy this coming weekend - but perhaps I can get to you next weekend sometime?
