Slim Overflow

    Hi guys,

    Does any have a picture or design to make a slim overflow? something that Idol marine and exotics are selling at the moment

    Basically, it is just 10mm thick glass, cut into thin strips. Drill hole into bottom of tank. Bigger than outlet. Drill hole into another piece of about 100 by 100mm glass. Put your bulkhead fitting onto that. Glue this to the underside. So if anything does go wrong in future, you can cut this piece off.

    Inside of tank. build a box with glass strips on the bottom of tank. U shaped. Put strips up at the back, box width. Glue glasspane to the back 6mm or 8mm (whatever your tank). Then put a "lid" on the bottom box. So the overflow got an L shape.

    Or go and visit Idol Marine, and steal with your eyes.

    But the trick comes in if you got euro bracing at the bottom of the tank. :)
