Yeah skimmer will only start to work once you introduce livestock....

What kind of skimmer is it? Does it work with a airstone?
 
HI All,

so i need some help in figuring out what to do my levels on my tank have not stabalized my Amonia is still 1.0 ppm + and it has been over 1 week cycling.thought cause of the small amount of water it should have cycled by now ?
was thinking about doing a 50% water change to dilute the levels i have been running stability for 7 days as well and still not right.

please any remarks or help welcome
 
Hi. Dude dont worry yet.....its only been a week..:). Also, your rock seems pretty dead.."base"...it will need time to grow bacteria etc....are you dosing something like Special Blend? I love the stuff....

I have a little Boyu MT-30, and it took a month for it to stabilize etc....dont think just cuase it is small water volume it is any faster....
