i would say that it would be fine if you dont stock up too high on the fish, if u want a BEEG fish load than i would say get something bigger

probably will keep some soft coral, a neni and +-12 to 15 small fish( the ones that won`t get too big)

Rax, I love that skimmer (IMHO probably the best in its price range), not sure what you mean by maintenance but no more is required than with any other skimmer. As for noise levels, mine is dead quite (maj does yours make a noise) the PSK pumps are less noisy than the OTP ones.

Trust me you wont be dissapointed, I also reccomend them to my customers

My Sicce pump was hell of a noisy on my OCTX 200. And I was not the only one. Ziyaad had the same issue on his. Same pump gets used on the 160. Took the skimmer back it swopped it out for another noisy bubble blaster.

only because mine was the external and there was a design error with the externals as the sicce pumps dont like to be run externally they are made to be run internally. All the internal OTX's that i know are all silent. if the internal is making a noise then its the pin wheel thats damaged get a new one and you sorted

no not at all great skimmers best bang for buck u can get the internal ones are fine its when you get the external ones or try and make the internal one external when you will pick up problems.

enjoy my only other advice would be spend a few rand more and get the OTX 200 would be a better buy due to the bigger reaction chamber as both OTX160 and 200 use the same pumps
