Hi all

I need advice on a skimmer for my new tank. tank is roughly 400 litres. can be internal or external. There is such a variety to choose from. Wanna make the right choice! If you can please post a pic or specs. Thanks

Well I would go with nothing less that a deltec.
U will save yourself money in the long run when and if u decide to go with sps.
The APF600 deltec skimmer should do the trick.

look at reefocto xtreme as an alternative for a long term investment pricy but worth it... rated to do 1500lt.. i cannot comment on deltec other than what i have heard but also very awsome skimmers...

Hi Keyaam i agree with puppy deltec is the way to go a bit pricey but long term you will have a mother of a skimmer,i have had over 20 skimmers in 2 years, ask puppy he will tell you how i change them,my detec 701 does the job for me

all skimmers mentioned is excellent.

deltec and the reef octo extream is the why to go if you want to spend some extra cash for a damn good skimmer.

as mek said the ts2 and dnw 150 will also do the job:thumbup:

do some research ;)

Amazing over 20 skimmers of different types but never a Tunze DOC so please try them and then pass an honest opinion I think you will be suprised and with your experience it will be worth the feed back I receive. Hey puppy you should do the same you have enough Tunze pumps in your tank to know.
