    Hi All

I am down from 11 fish to 2. I have been treating with Paracure and they seem to have pulled through. (Eating and all) At the moment they are in a bucket and the water quality is starting to go south. I want to put them in a 90l tank, put paracure in and continue treating them whilst using a skimmer to maintain the removal of detrus.

    Could I do this ?

    Thanks all
    Willie

The skimmer will skimm out protein and organic waste. You need to vacuum the detritus out.

    Hi David

Long time no chat ;-) I have been using Paracure with a result.... I have a foxface that is alive and not showing anymore velvet symptoms. I will continue keeping him in quarantine for the next month. I do not want that bug to get into my tank !

    Hi Williet

It has been a short while :).

Sorry, I actually mis-read your "Paracure" for Panacur, a completely different thing altogether. Panacur is used for ruminants and other livestock for treating some helminth diseases. It contains Fenbendazole in liquid suspension.

What is the active ingredient in Paracure?

I am a bit hesitant to say I am victorious... Will only allow the fat lady to sing at the end of June

    Willie

My approach to tratement is that i do run a skimmer while treating but i take the cup off, i like to keep the water well oxygenated during treatement, then if i feel the water is fouling i pop the cup on skim do a small waterchange and retreat taking the cup off again.

This has been very effective for me..
