Hi guys this is what i did today as my skimmer every now and then would for some reason over flow, and flood my lounge at least once a week. Misses not happy so i decided to do a bit of meds for those who maybe interested.
    I used air grate
    And some conduite
And measured everything up and running well now. Fingers crossed.:whistling:

    more pics.

Hope you can understand my pics, slotted the conduit to fit air grate and drilled 6mm holes for water flow.

Nice, simple solution, thanks for sharing. How's the skimmate production? Still as good as when it was lower in the water?

How did you stop the the pipe work from clipping off of the eggcrate?

I see one of the legs has bowed in toward the other. I've always struggled with it(eggcrate) un-clipping/detaching from the grooves cut into the PVC pipe.

    Looks interesting otherwise.

Working much better had to lower by 10 mm, now adjusted to max flow where as before was on minimum and i think that was the cause of the flooding. The conduit it tight in the air grate as with the askew one that was straightened as one slot was not as deep. Hack saw sorted that out.

That looks like a curve 5, i have the curve 7 and its an awesome skimmer. Mine when still new did the same as yours... Once broken in i get some awesome skimmate. I did not use the drain pipe so did not have flooding issues. I started mine on level 1 and its now adjusted just past level 2 and getting a full cup every 5 days with very dark almost black skimmate

Yea it's a curve 5 it was the drain that kept over filling my drain bottle, hopefully that's all sorted now.
