    Agree with Leslie as some systems have a higher bio load than other, eg a 500l predator tank will have a huge bio load againts a 500l reeftank with corals and two fish.
    Get a skimmer 1.5 to 2 times the total system volume.

    Skimz make an excellent product - I got a skimz reactor and it has really re-inforced my view on the brand. I want to get a Skimz Skimmer in the future aswell.

    @pXius

    at the risk of seeming to punt my sale:)

    i am very impressed with this skimmer, it works extreemly well and the ONLY reason i changed was to go with a bigger unit in the same range due to me upgrading (i went from 4ft to 5ft with a vision of extending my water capacity)

    skimz are very consious of quality and wattage consumption and the airflow intake adjuster is a very useful tool in water level and bubble production controll. it helps you to "finetune" the skimmer.

    read the reviews and make up your own mind but all those who have purchased skimz skimmers to date have been very satisfied..
