Hi my skimmer is making and pushing lost of small bubbles back in to the tank, is this normal? Don’t know if you can see it that well in the pic. See pic of tank with bubbles and the skimmer I got.

The sump is part of the tank at the back and it is in the first compartment. But it pushes all the tiny little bubbles back in to the tank.

Here are 2 pics of the tank. The top one is with the skimmer on and the small bubbles in the tank and one with the skimmer off with no small bubbles flying around.

It's normal for skimmers to give small bubbles in the aquarium, you can try a bubble trap to get rid of it or what worked for me is if the skimmer outlet is above the water cover the pipe with sponge, when the water flows through it the bubbles burst.

What do you use to hold the sponge in place (rope, gut or elastic)? Thanks

You just cut the hole in the middle of the sponge a bit smaller then the pipe. You stretch the sponge over the skemmer and there you have it.

Uhm, no this is not normal and the corals will certainly not enjoy this at all. Good suggestion to use sponge as a diffuser at the skimmer outlet, looking at the skimmer cant tell where the outlet pipe is.
