    Hi guys

i currently set up my sumo for my 4ft marine aquarium, and i was just wondering, can i leave my dsb at 8cm deep? my water level in that chamber is roughly about 16-18 cm deep. also can i use my dsb as a refugium as well, with items such as chaeto etc?

Ideally the DSB should be 12-15cm..15 being the best....water level should then he higher...if you want Cheato to "tumble" above the "open space" of you'r DSB...nothing wrong with having a water level of 5 cm above the DSB...but then you can't put anything "on top"...IMHO
