My nano tank is not drilled:( so i was forced to use the siphon setup, open to the fact that a simple power outage, thank eskom) will flood the tank... BUt i tested the levels in my tank so if disaster strikes, my pump will run dry. But wen i turned off the pumps, the water stayed in the pipe? and no suction took place.. I turned the power back on and it opperated again perfectly:whistling: ?

NOTE# My siphon pipe is 4 times larger that my pump pipe. Maby this is the reason?

I've never used this system before, but that sounds just like what it is supposed to do.

    Overflow box.

Hi to all,I run my 8ftx2ftx2ft in to a sump and use a overflow box as the tank is not drilled, the box has a turnover of 5000 litres per hour it works very well and never misses a beat (no water on the floor well so far).shrimpman.
