Express a lot of the wavemaker pumps have a feature as one of the modes high tide and low tide. The ones I've just put in my tank also go into night mode and slow right down too!
Is this what you mean or actually go high and go low:eek:

I have this feature in my tank. I've restricted it to one low tide a week though, on Saturday mornings. I drain 75 litres from the display, then I replace it with new NSW. VIOLA!!

there is a way, actually not to difficult but would need 2 return pumps, one must be 3-4 times stronger and will need 2-3 extra overflows

its easy with one, but i like 2 as you get more control and a failsafe, also with a second pump you will get more turbulence...

but who is willing to let their coral stay out the water :) it happens on the Barrier Reef

It would look cool, but is there real benefits from doing it?
