    Hello,

    I am looking for a Goniopora that is in pretty bad shape for a little experiment that I want to conduct.

    Thanks in advance.

    How do you plan to experiment? Even healthy specimens can have dismal survival rates and you asking for a sick one. Very interested to know what you have planned.

    I want to see the difference in feeding it goniopowder vs the brightwell aquatics zooplankton that I feed mine. Mine currently hates the goniopowder (it contracts when I target feed it) whereas with the zoo it used to extend and "lick its fingers". I am quite keen on seeing if the powder can revive a dying specimen and if it has the same feeding response with the different foods.
    :)

    Hi,

    I've had a goniopora for about a year now and would like to compare your specimen to what I have. Do you have any pics that I could view?
    Although I have a frag that I could sell, its not sick. Also, I am based in Cape Town.

    Thanks

    OK. found a pic of your gonio in one of your albums. Looking good.:thumbup:
    Below is a pic of the frag I have. Mother colony has three heads.

    Do you feed it with a syringe/baster or immerse it in the food mixture outside of the main tank for feeding?

    @BParker
    Thanks man! :) I am in JHB unfortuantely so won't be able to purchase the frag from you. Your goniopora looks healthy! I feed mine with a syringe in the tank, I have reverted back to brightwell foods at the moment since it was not taking too well to the goniopowder.

    @carlosdeandrade
    You going to get pm! :D
    @Triton
    Which goni is it (green, pink, blue etc)? What lighting and are you adding iron to the tank? Let me know if you want me to purchase it from you. :)

    Triton, could you give me a call to chat? I have a feeling that you could probably save yours :)
    If a mod could please close this thread, it would be appreciated.

    Really difficult to see from the pic as viewin on cell. But you mention 3 heads, you sure its a goniopora and not an aLveopora?

    I bought this from Perky Pets as a Gonio. It iss best to compare the number of tentacles apparently.
    Gonio = 24
    Alveo = 12

    Below is a closeup of the frag where u can count 24.

    If I am still mistaken. Please let me know.

    You can vie the 3 head m/colony in my album.
