I decided on a new thread as I am taking this tank on a different course so to speak. I was getting tired of the constant eye sore and maintenance involved with a tank where I thought less would be more. As I found out if you dont take the time and do things right, you end up with more work keeping things pristine. Oh and I decided to make this tank a bit more fun also.

    Display tank:
    700L with 8x Giesemann T5's

    Filtration:
10kg Liverock and 70kg Caribsea biorock
Reef Octopus X 250 skimmer, with two mesh-mod impeller pumps
ORCA PO4 resin in a phospab reactor
    ORCA Nitra-cubes
    Deep sand bed

    Maintenance:
    100L waterchange every two weeks
    Special Blend
    Red Sea NO3 PO4 reducer

Bought two MP40's which I still need to install.

Tell me what you guys think ;)

Have some Zoas why don't you. Looking good and it will look even better when the Zoas have covered up the ship and pot.

Not a lot of cured live rock, and plenty fresh base rock. Equipment nicely covered in algae.

Just check out the cycle on this tank. You got a big bio-load, loads of fish. But the in tank filtration capabilities not there. Not sure on the maturity of what you have in the sump area. Just check the parameters especially the first 2 weeks.

No wonder that ship broke in half. Its steering wheel is half the size of the whole ship itself. :p

Sump has a 14month old DSB, the water and equipment is also very mature, but yes will be watching the ammonia etc closely, and feeding lightly

Like the ship idea, was looking at a shipwreck for my tank but wasn't sure. Going to look great once all is grown over. Maybe I need to come around in the future for some treasure hunting :lol:.

You try putting a ship the size of scale of the steering wheel in and see if it fits :p

I found that the pot is a perfect hermit crab catcher lol. The bugger couldnt climb out. So filled it with some rubble in case he falls in again
