Setup so far

I started my tank this past Saturday. Will be posting pics as soon as I can. Setup consist of a four foot tank 1.2m by 0.45m by 0.5m and a three foot sump. 40 Kg live rock 40 kg sugar fine aragonite. Lights for now 4x 39watt t5 lights. Hope you guys can help if I struggle?

we just had a 12 hour power cut with my tank in cycle. now the tank water has a nasty smell. should I be concerned??

Eish, I hate when that happens. There would be some bacterial die off from the lack of circulation but nothing too alarming at this point for your tank. Just let it continue to cycle

Would it be wise to add culupra or cheato to the sump at this point in the cycle?

You can but it would struggle to grow though as there is not enough of a bioload to support it right now.

Welcome to MASA. Got the same size tank for my fresh water fish. Cycling is a game of patience but well worth the wait.
