Is it just me or is anything smaller than a seio M1500 seem like pissing in the wind?? I have two 1500 and two 1100 and the 1100 seem like they do nothing!!! I dont know how i had my last setup with 2 820s and thought that was enough and i dont even know why they would sell anything smaller than a 820. I mean you could probably put a 820 in a Nano!!

    Whats your thoughts?

    The 1500 do 6000Lph
    The 1100 do 4400Lph

True there is a big difference between the M110 and M1500, but what I like about them is you can have more diverse flow rather than one jet stream - I run 4 x M1100, 1 x M1500 and 1 x M2600

Their flow is very dispersed so doesn't feel that strong. The 820 will be cool for small nano's.The M2600 seems like a nice pump to have:p

Only problem I have had, is I have had to turn it right down, as the flow is so huge my Glass creaks if I run it at full tilt :p

so the 1500 would then suit your tank better than the 2600?

It is the only, way. The worst thing about the rubber sucker mounts, is soon as algae or coralline get under the sucker, it doesn't work properly and you come home one night and a M2600 has vaporised your entire substrate.

Mag. Mounts are well worth the money

They are mounted in plastic and have felt type pads, where in contact with the glass.

I suppose you could, but you would need to make sure what ever you use on the inside of the tank doesn't oxidise (rust)

Could be an interesting DIY

yeah was thinking of doing something like that.the magnets cost almost R300 each.that would mean that I need to spend over R1000 for four simple magnets.

You can adjust the inlet of the pump which basically throttle the unit, the less water the less flow.

    Very easy to adjust ;)
