I have a pair of second hand Seio M1100 but the one does not work. Does anyone have an idea on what the usual problem with these wavemakers are so that I can maybe try and fix it before I have to buy a replacement?

    Thanks y'all

they are usually indestructable. Are they clean? if not soak in vinegar until spotless, remove all moving parts, clean them and try it again. i had the impellar stuck and after a clean its as good as new

Have you taken it apart to see if the impellor is stuck or if the ceramic shaft is broken?

evrything has been cleaned and the impellor and ceramic shaft both work in the other pump so think it may be internal mechanics?

A VERY WARM WELCOME to MASA, B&K! Great to have you on-board!

Do you know if the SEIO M1100 is getting electricity? How much do you know of faultfinding electrical issues?

Does the SEIO body "hum" slightly, and / or get slightly warm to the touch?
Have you remove the outer casing of the SEIO, as well as removed everything, with only the impeller exposed, and then plugged the SEIO in?
Then - while it's plugged in, just slightly move/move the impeller - see if starts to spin? I have seen my one M1100 sometimes "get's stuck" and I have to "coax" the impeller manually to start spinning......
