Hi regis - sea cucumbers are awesome detritus eaters.... one of the best cleanup crew members one can have in a tank - just a word of warning though..... If it gets stuck in a power head there's going to be major problems as it will end up killing all livestock... please be aware of this and try to "block" the power head so as the cucumber cant get to it but it still is effective as a powerhead....

I would like one too - If possible the Tiger tail.

I like this one because in my opinion this is safer and more reef safe.
    Below some info from liveaquaria:

The Tiger Tail Sea Cucumber is one of nature's more exotic detritus eaters. With its brown body spotted with white and dressed in numerous spiny papillae, Holothuria sp. is also a visually stunning addition to the home aquarium. Since it is a very adept and agile scavenger, the Tiger Tail Sea Cucumber can clean detritus from beneath rockwork and difficult-to-clean tight corners.

clown...I will also only know what species (more ore less) when I see it. On my order list it would only only be Holoturia sp. That is just a red one

Guys be VERY carefull of them , they can wife a tank in no time (as chicka said)..so i would treat them with the same respect / caution as a nennie.

I will send you a PM

O yes, you are looking for Holothuria thomasi (had to check the book)...just also keep in mind that even hermits can irritate them enough to release toxin

    just a word of caution:
All sea hares, cucumbers, sea apples CAN be toxic, i say can as not all will release the toxins. please note that if it should happen that all water, LR and equipment needs to be taken apart and cleaned with vinegar, these will kill everything including small kids if they get hold of the water etc.

its like carrying a loaded gun, not always dangerous but the potential is there.

the safer of them is the sea hare as his ink can mostly be removed with GAC and WC
