Hi guys. I know this a Sea Cucumber but have no idea what type. It is about 10cm in length. When I first saw it he was about 2cm which was about 7 months ago. How big do they grow and are they good to keep?

Unfortunately not many people keep kukes .... they do an awesome job at removing detritus ... like the ultimate in detritus eating machines .... BUT .... can wipe out an entire tank if they like get caught in a pump and release toxins before they go to "cucumber salad heaven"

But that's processed .... cleaned up poo .... remember they like huge natural filters or sewerage processing refineries .... just dont have something that can cause them stress as they are toxic when at's death's door

Unfortunately not as you dont want the sand in the DSB to be disturbed too much as it constantly change the level of sand and in turn cause bacteria to be disturbed .... Just try to nennie proof your pumps and you'll be ok ......

Cool. I havn't noticed it on the glass. It just stays under the rocks and when the lights go out it comes out but doesn't wander too far from his cave.
