Sea Chem Phos Guard

    Hi all

    I have been running Sea Chem Phos Guard for 3 days now in phosban rector and i seam to be be getting lower and lower ph4 levels when will i see the algae start to die off?

    Phosguard is part of the process. up your magnesium, consider reducing lighting period. run purigen and you will see your hair algae turn yellow and come away in tufts. if you dont up your magnesium your fight will be a much harder one. ps also feed less as the algae is a symptom

    i dont have hair algae its diatoms my tank has been running for 9 weeks now

    Then just let your tank cycle properly and the diatoms will dissappear on their own
