Can anyone tell me what exactly constitutes soft gear?

I need to organise a very cheap weekend trip to Sodwana, can anyone recommend accomodation?

Cheers

Hi Gali - sorry - only getting to this thread, now...

Here you are:

Soft gear:
- wet-suite (usually full-length, 3 to 5mm)
- mask
- snorkel
- booty's
- fins
- weight-belt (with of without weights)

That's it!

Cool!
The following are "hard gear":
- BC
- regulator set
- cylinder

These are "optional":
- dive watch / dive computer
- underwater camera
- flashlight
- reel

This is DEFINITELY A MUST:
- SMB (Surface marker buoy)

Coral Divers have tented accomodation for about R50 per night and you get to use the communal kitchen...
