Schoolclothes

    anybody out there had kids going to school this year...was it just me or is the clothes a rip off.....R32 buck for a pair of socks !

    things are expensive these days bru. My babies milk comes out to over 500.00 bucks a month

    ziyaad...imagine one first year in scool...one 1 year old ...plus marine tank..plus starting another !

    actually just thought id find out ..is it just our school or all (mine not a pvt school btw)

    Yeah, or R1000 bucks for a grade 5'er stationary + books :(

    that's the going rate for a second hand Reeftek TS2 skimmer :whistling:

    Skimmer prices compared to schoolclothes....never thought of selling it like that to the wife.:lol:

    Lets not forget the nappies, Toiletries, and all the other bits and bobs that go into maintaining our offspring But then its absolutely worth it.

    I agree, love my kids. Luckely mine is past that nappy stage - you should've started sooner, then it would've been over by now :lol:

    lol man i did but sometimes things are beyond control, 1st time we had a miscarrige, second time complications during pregnancy and baby passed away soon after he was born and this time all worked out 100%. sons 10 months old now.

    :arghhhh: my kids only 7 weeks old and costing me a fortune in 400g tins of lactose free formula - 32 bucks for socks is what I am in for??

    Thanks gents. MND u gona be shelling out dude. LOL this is just the start. I suggest that you also start saving towards your kids education as well.which i intend doing this month

    congrats ziyaad has been going through a similar situation for over 2 years now, i have a good idea the strain u must have taken. istarted saving a month after my kids were born (their own accoounts) and everybody gave them bucks for X Mas & B days do they prob have more than me

    viper my sons school wants 180 bucks for a bloody drimac as far as i know makro sells them for 70...so the badge is the other 110 bucks????

    mnd 123...wait for teething...they go through nappies like i go through RO

    Lucky my boy just drools quite a bit never start the diarrhea phase although he is teething

    Exactly, just like the white button-up shirts, cost something like R15 at any other shop, but they bleed you for a painted on badge at the school shop, bloody ridiculous, used to boil my blood every time I went uniform shopping.

    always wanted a big family....then i saw the prices of stuff, hope they not girs sean...remember the wedding day, might have to sell a few things in the classiifeds
