The bigger the crushed coral, the bigger the gaps, the easier uneaten food / detritus gets stuck leading to struggles to keep water quality up.

Fine sand, less items getting trapped but wih high flow (depending what corals you are going for ) you could land up with sand storms.

You can try to find the midway, not too fine and not too coarse. 2mm to 3mm can stand quite a bit of flow and is not too course for me. Still need to set you're flow to avoid sand blowing.

Some (very successfull by the look of their tank) believe barebottom. Easier to set flow how you want and syphon detritus. Personal preference on whether you like the look.

I would not mix sand and crushed coral.

I want to have most of the tank bottom covered with live rock so I think I will go with the crushed coral just at the front that will also be easy to keep cleaned what do you think ??

I have seen a lot of threads asking how someone can remove crushed coral to replace with normal sand. It really traps a lot of detritus thats going to make you struggle. If you have normal sea sand or sugerfine agronite go with that.

    rather go sand.
Sand sifting gobies will be grateful
Else, if you can afford it, go aragonite. But not sugerfine.

Crushed coral is looking for trouble because food can slip through to the bottom and elevate nitrates and phosphates. Bare bottom tank are very easy to clean but, generally speaking, fish tend not to like this and is obviously doesn't look natural. Aragonite allows less, if not any, food to slip through to the bottom. It's more natural for livestock but does require some degree of cleaning. This can be made easier by the use of CUC, various sand-sifting gobies and starfish, etc.
