image.jpeg hi, just bought a little sand anemone , but I can't get it to stay in one place. I sorte try bury him in the sand by a rock, but he keeps ending up in strange places not suitable . Can anyone tell me best way to get him permanently seated ?

I've seen some people push a large piece of pvc pipe into the sand then put the anemone into that. Not sure how much it helps as I've never tried it myself.

ive also seen the bottom of a clear plastic bottle - depending on the size of the anemone, then put holes in the bottle for slight flow

Came home just as he floated in to my bubble tip. Superglued him onto a plug and buried him in the sand , round 2.

When I had mine he did not like high flow. I put mine in low flow next to the rock on the sand and he never moved.

To place an anemone, just switch off all flow pumps.
And hold it in place for 3 to 5 minutes, with its foot against the rock. It should in that time attach, hold on to the rock.

Thanks RiaanP, but I thought , being a sand anemone , it needs to be in the sand ?

In the meantime , I have put him in my sump.

They might be "in" the sand, but their foot is normally onto the bottom glass or a rock piece below the sand.
