@badboygp No sump so no refugium...just AC20 hob filter. Running with minimal equipment from the start
@ReeferB28. Nothing planned at the moment, maybe upgrade my current top off set up...need a slightly stronger pump so I can leave a 5L bucket in the cupboard under the tank with a tube fixed to the tank. Currently I have to place bucket on the counter and switch on pump.
A SW8 wavemaker could be an option to.
I wanna stock up with more corals first though.

The sw2 and 4 has minimum flow of 500l/h I think which would be ideal

I've slightly modified my cheap wave pump...its rated at 1200l/h and I've cut two of the blades off nd it's just about right.

Last night's test showed stable paramaters all round :m41: and the 2 corals lookin happy as ever.

This got me thinking...could I add another AC20 and modify it into a refugium with some matrix and macro algae, I could then add more carbon in the first one and top it off with filter floss. That may also give me enough flow that i might not need a wavemaker.
Would like it thoughts on this.

Today was WC day. Did general glass clean nd removed little bit of gha on filter inlet. Also cleaned the filter inlet with a toothbrush...gonna need I pipe cleaner to get to the top bend.
Think it's time to add a frag or two.

    Salinity - 1.024
    Ph - 8.4
    Kh- 8.9
    Cal - 440
    Mag- 1140
    PO4 - 0.02

I'm thinking of adding one juvenile clown to the tank...would have to be the only fish in my set up :001_huh:

Keep in mind I have a 20l tank before sand nd rock displacement. Was thinking of just one nd maybe a goby to help clean up.

Isn't your mag abit on the low side? And adding two fish to a 20l tank wil deff be a challenge buddy

I do have Aquavitro Ions I can dose. Ideally mag should be close to 1300 so maybe I should take that step. Would it not affect Kh nd or Calcium?
