    Hi Guys

Bought a salamander yesterday and this dude seems a bit shy-ish still. Attached himself to a rock in the corner....

My question is what do I feed the dude and should salamanders actively participate at supper time?

OK, now I feel like a TWAZZO:whistling:.... It is not a salamander.... I looked around in the gallery and found a pic of a lawnmower blenny that looks exactly like my salamander! (That will teach me for taking the salesman's word)

I copied the pic from the picture gallery for reference.

    REALLY sorry guys!

That's def a lawnmower blenny yes. They won't eat anything when you feed the rest of the fish. They eat algae off the rocks, substrate and glass. Great cleaners!

Maybe you misunderstood the salesman. The lawnmower blenny is also known as a "Salarias". Its scientific name is Salarias fasciatus.

JDgr8, the lawnmower blennies are really nice fish with great personalities. Read up a bit here. Apart from their usefulness they are real characters and will sit and watch you more than you watch them.

PS, before buying any other fish from the shop you got this one from, try and take a photo first and post it on this forum. Don't trust the salesman to tell you what you should and shouldn't buy. They will sell you anything.
