    Sorry to hear that.
Is the power back on yet?
Are you sure its whitespot? Odd to have appeared so quickly.
    How are your corals looking?

Sorry to hear about this. Dont give up on what you still have. One day you will be smiling again while staring into your creation

...and you might wanna shop around down there in Cape Town and get an inverter and a few chargable batteries. Plug your circulation / filter just to keep current going. Possibly a heater if your tank looses heat quickly :whistling:

    Sorry to hear that A.J

The shops around us were off from 8 - 5:30 today . for some reason we were on a different grid and werent effected.

Also have some w/s here ,using Herb and lowered salinity - fish are eating well so things are looking up.

Come in - free R.O to drop your salinity if you want.

    Good luck
    David

Hmmm sorry to hear about your situation. I lost a regal tang like that over a weekend. This is a classic situation where the whitespot and the fish's immune system came into a biological equillibrium(meaning the w/s was not replicating fast enough and the fish were keeping the parasite at bay with a natural level of resistance.) the problem with this as seen now. Just one thing had to go wrong in a tank situation like this to make things go south and the infection gets out of hand

Two suggestions. Herbtana is great but only to help immunity depending on the level of infection, i would suggest the following.

    Not so bad:

    Transfer method with 4 buckets.

    Bad:
To up the offer of free RO and get a good refractometer and go hypo salinity on them beasties. It will relieve stress and kill the whitespot. Also that is if you have a spare tank as you cannot do it in your DT!

    Whitespot can be cured!!!!!
