Hi all, hope we doing well.. ;)

Ok i have finally taken the plunge after running my 130D tank for about a year. That was a tester tank as I was brand new to the "hobbie" and wanted to try my hand in it very wet behind the ears. I am no where near knowing much however I have learnt a boat load in the short year already, so I decided that this is what I truly love and want to continue on to the next step, as I truly find it so good for my soul and relaxation and brings my stress levels down, so I had to treat myself to the bigger brother, enter the RSM250...YEHHAAAAA

Well I am just going to sleep now after a total running time of around 35hrs since setting up the tank. I have transferred some rock and fish from my 130D tank however still have the 130D up an running with some stuff in there as I get more confident in the water parameters.. Well did a test tonight, everything looking good. Just alkalinity a little low for my liking but will get there soon to my 130 levels.

So without further due here is the newest creation.. I want to send a quick shout out to Dwayne from Jungle Aquatics for all his efforts and knowledge assisting me every step of the way.

This is the newest member next to its little brother hehe uploadfromtaptalk1424473793498.jpg
    uploadfromtaptalk1424473851818.jpg

So substrate is in and scaping complete, time to add the good stuff uploadfromtaptalk1424473937577.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1424473998604.jpg

The water rather cloudy to be expected, the goal, get it as clear as my 130D, that thing sparkles uploadfromtaptalk1424474096238.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1424474155444.jpg

And the side by side shot.. Can see the little tank had been raped of its rock... Eish, sorry little guy. Hang in there uploadfromtaptalk1424474262273.jpg

And so here we are, 1 sleep later and a couple more hours of letting things settle with some more fiddling and cleaning and the tank is looking like this..... uploadfromtaptalk1424474336569.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1424474390055.jpg

So what's next? I hear you all asking.. Hehehe.. Well, it will be to transfer the elegance, plate coral, bta, and my clam(if he survives after a savage(hermit) got hold of it and put them in to the bigger boetie.

Very nice. I went from a Boyu TL550 to a RS250 and I'm very happy with my setup. One thing I would recommend is adding a chiller.

Awsum scape! Love the look of the 2 tanks side by side. Can't wait to see your 250 grown in! Have you stopped your chillers yet?

Thanks alot you know, I'm embarrassing say I actually don't know which substrate this is lol.. So anyone hazard a guess lol. I will attach a picture of more substrate to help. I will say it is much finer substrate than what I got in my 130D setup. [IMG]

He is such a little trooper love him to bits. Works like a trojan hehe just watching him closely. I believe they can starve over time if not enough substrate for them, kind of like the mandarin story. Got a couple new additions as well which I am excited about. Need to let things start growing nicely now . Hope your tanks are doing awesome as well!! Oh yes while you here and the resident RSM250 expert. I find myself having to dose a lot of coralline gro/foundation B to keep alkalinity values up.. What is your daily dose of this juice into your tank?
