    Hi all,
I have had my RSM for two years now and have made quite a few mods to this tank. It is a beautiful tank, but as many of you know it has some flaws.
The latest addition was to remove the whole hood and replace it it with led units, they tank seems much brighter.

I will keep an eye on my corals (mostly softies and three lps).
A little more detail on my tank, two sumps with one aqua medic protein skimmer rated at 3500l per hour and a reef octopus rated at 400l. Removed stock skimmer and also added a Perspex overflow from the US especially made for the RSM.

    No NH4 or NO2, NO3 is at 2ppm. Mg1350, Ca is at 470 and alkalinity is at 10 PO3 is at 0.16ppm.

Will post some pics in a day or two as I feel that I can never capture the best pic.

Thanks to all the guys that have guided me in the last two years, and thanks to the guys at Jungle aquatics for helping me out.
    Chat soon,
    Carlos

I haven't placed any pics up because I am still waiting to get a glass box to finish the tank behind the lights. But will post shortly, I hope!

 Do you research first, they look great on paper, but have many flaws, I am not sure how the new ones fare, but I would never buy a new RSM 250 again. You can do so much extra with the same amount of cash.

Great light unit, produces nice shimmer, not sure if it will be enough for SPS. Took these pics now, for my RSM FOWLR system, colours are great. You can even see the Sailfin's shadow in the third pic.
What corals do you intend keeping?

How is this unit working so far?

did you take your hood off to mount this or did you mount it in the existing hood?

where did you buy the unit from?

Carlos, what is your opinion on the 1w Beamsworks (not compared to your latest lightning though ;)) did you have any problems with the unit? Is it sufficient for a softy only tank long term?
