So the stand is going forward. Routed all the edges with a round over bit to give the edges a nice clean beveled edge. After that i skinned the frame. Came out really nice. Next up is the paint job. Some pics of the progress.

I finished the door and also cut it out so that i was left with a solid piece of frame to put on the front of the stand. All the skinning is done now. Next up is sanding and putting a primer.

Amazingly neat work, what powertools did you use to build a stand like that?

Thanks man!

I always get my wood cut by my local mica on the table saw. They do a really good job. On this build i used my router, mitre saw, drill, clamps, dowels, screws and wood glue .

So i stopped by mica this afternoon to get the rest of my wood cut. i asked them to rip the board in long lengths with the width to the correct size. I will use the mitre saw to cut it into smaller pieces with 45 angles on each side. The skin will be painted dark grey and the top boards white. There will be a space between the boards for the grey to show. The board will go all round the sides. Looking for a 2 tone effect. Some pics off the the top boards going on top of the skin.

another update,

Finished with the 28 panels. 7 each side. All cut to size and corners mitred 45degs. This pic will give you a better idea of how it will look now that it's on size.
