Rock found

Hi , if someone can help me with this rock , I bought it today at an Sasol Garage in Tzaneen for R200 as it was thrown in the flower beds , how can I clean it and what must I do before I put it in my tank .
The sizes is between 40cm x 35cm and 32cm x 21cm and the total weight is 21.8kg its only 3 rocks .

I wouldn't chance using it. Considering it's from a flower bed, who knows what chemicals its picked up.

I would suggest cleaning them with a pressure cleaner, are you gona be starting a new tank with the rocks or adding them to an established tank?
Perhaps dose with stability for a few days after adding them.

Search for acid cleaning...know the guys use some sort of acid to clean old rocks with...i would do that. Then once clean soak in ro for a few days...

They use hcl. .Aka pool acid mixed with water (check online for correct ratio) then they add bicarb to neutralise acid..easy process but be careful when handling hazardous chemicals and take necessary measures

After the acid wash, let it stand in a drum with water for a couple of weeks.

I would not take the chance..it could leach any impurities back into your system at any time no matter how much you wash it upfront
