Hi Guys, I thought I'd share my tank with you. I'm well aware that it's still far from complete but welcome any advice or input.

A little background.. I used to live at the coast and gave up my aquarium 8 years ago when I moved back to Jhb. Lots has changed, lighting systems, protein skimmers etc.

    Anyway I started in December 2014, tank is 2.6m x 600 x 800 deep and 350l sump/external live rock filter.

Lighting - I've added Pacific Sun Hyperion S (3x145w), Radion XR30w Pro and New Zetlight 6600-A . In addition there are 4 LED 1.2m lights

    Wave makers- 1 x Vortech MP60 and 6 x Vortech MP40's ( Total x 7)

Protein Skimmer is Reef Octopus XP 5000, Aquaristik Control unit, UV, and a whole bunch of other stuff

I'm well aware that I should have taken things a bit slower but corals are doing exceptionally well and Stingray and Blue Ribbon eel couldn't be happier

At the moment there's just a Foxface, a Zebra Eel and a few smaller gobies and blue damsels. I'm awaiting 7 Yellow tangs and a few others which are on order.

Thank you for your interest and feedback

Thank you so much! There are 5 x Brittle Starfish, Sandsifting Star, Feather Stars x2 , Red Starfish x 2, Chocolate Chip Starfish, ( I think)? Cushion Starfish, all have been in the tank for about 3 months but must be honest I'm not sure of all the names, I just tried to get as reef safe as possible whilst maintaining beauty

Awesome tank, and all in a relatively short period of time . Will only get better. Is the tank 800deep?
