Nasty, scary thing is, if your tap water is not filtered then you're drinking that. ;)

Nothing too unusual... Considering your other thread (algae problems), with a prefilter in place and a carbon filter before your membrane, the effeciency of the RO is not the culprit.

I've seen a thread like this before and I immediately gt myself a tap water purifier for drinking purposes, its horendous to drink normal tapwater after seein hw 'dirty' it actually is ..... .... But I still doubt that's ur problem coz clearly ur unit is doing its job then, did you perhaps test tds before and after changing out filter, coz saying that makes me realise tds also caters for silicates and can cause algae blooms

I am almost 100% sure that in our human history we had to make do with much dirtier water, and look, we still made it after all...and it depends on how much water passed through it in those two months, if it was like 10L, then maybe there is something wrong, otherwise it is doing what it is suppose to do, cleaning water.

I am getting my TDS tested this afternoon, I myself am never touching my tapwater again, remember that is only about 2-3 months work of the unit, i have the other 2 canisters, one carbon and not sure bout the other, and of course the RO membrane, thinking of adding another canister with another sediment filter
