    Hi guys,

I am looking into purchasing a RO unit (no i havent had one at all until now - im sorry :( )

So, upon my quest I have come across a 5 stage unit. The unit looks and sounds good. However, while reading the specs of the filters, I came across something that Im not sure about and would like some input.

Here are the specs for each stage (my issue highlighted in red)

So, would the silica in the filter be an issue?

    Thanks

    Guys,

Was there ever a verdict on this unit posted if it can be used in marine tanks or not?

It seems to be a five stage RO home water filter system and was wondering if anyone tried it.

In the end I just ordered a unit from Marco (The Waterboy)

Those units arent 100% marine ready and to change out the filter cartridges and add DI resin will work out to about the same as buying a new unit from Marco.

IIRC Idol Marine have developed a unit for marine use with puritech. give them a call. (011) 312 - 1485
