I wanted to know what exactly to get when it comes to RO machine for a aquarium.

I have a uncle that is in the RO industry and want to ask him to get me all the necessary equipment for a RO unit.

Now the question is what is the right stuff to get, maybe @The Waterboy - Marco can help me?

    Any advice appreciated:thumbup:

You live in Swakop? All you need is a bucket... :)

Nope, tried that, you add a bucket, you get cyno growing like mad.

And the RO unit will be for top ups

Oh, yes sorry, I forgot Walvis is upstream from you... Lots of phosphates... Try going south of walvis... You should be ok...

That is just ways away for me. And I just don't have the time for collecting. Mixing salt is way more easier.

Can anyone maybe tell me the types of filters and cartridges the ReeF RO units have?

    Depends how many stages.

Mine is a 4 stage with:

Sediment -> Carbon -> 50 GPD RO Membrane -> DI Resin

    Sediment cartridge (usually 1micron)
    Silver sintered carbon block
RO Membrane (the Filmtec ones are good)
    DI resin
