Hi, I have a new 5 stage Ro unit that I started using in March. Purchased an additional stage (DI) unit in June. My problem is that I had water tested at LFS and reading was 16. Is there a way or a place I can take the whole assembly to see what the problem is and to have correct water parameters output.

I did consider age and replacement of the filters but the volume gone through the system is way below time for cartridge changes. Also got the DI unit from Aquaria in June

check the quality of membranes etc and resin

a good membrane should be filmtech and the resin if good quality and colour changing should change from blue to brown when its done,

our units carry 0 tds.....sometimes for years, if serviced the when they need be...

give us a shout and well get some pics of the components used on your system and replace what needs be to get you to 0

The Di unit I got, already had a brown coloring to it. Is this normal with some brands. Was told it had only been used for a couple of days and was good as new. What colour should a new DI unit contents be or does it vary to different brands

its normall, depending on quality and brand.......

water purification is what we do , so unlike alot of charlatans around....we do alot of r&d to get to the levels we at with regard to water quality.

our resins are a mixture of a handfull of differant resins that act differantly in differant situations.....all being anion and cation based, we then add our own indicator to it aswell that guides you when it needs replenishing.

many companies out there will just buy a bag of de-ionising resin....and think they getting they same thing......or get overseas companies to pack sealed cartridges with any de-ionised resin.....

the results....well you know for yourself now

if membrane and resin are both good quality and flush valve are right spec etc then you should keep a 0 tds for a good 6 months and then only have to replace resin then

if resin is used and it stands......then they can grow amines and this will damage the resin aswell
