Hi all.

We (Salty and I) havent posted in a long time. But we need some help pls.

We imported the Sapphire skimmer for the JBJ nano 24g, ordered in May 2008, finally areived today! Yeah!

So we connected it up, set it up and watched it run for about 5 minutes. Skim was foo wet, so we adjusted the gate. Then the lights tripped, and the pump blew!!

We never thought of checking the voltage, which is 120v, as its from the US. Now we need to find a replacement pump small enough to fit in the nano. Thing is, the pump has some mesh thing inside which creates the bubbles. Any suggestions on what we can replace it with?

Thx

advp - can you possibly remove the impeller and show us a pic of the impeller as well?

It is quite possible that you might be able to replace the pump, and re-use the impeller.... BUt, that will possibly take a few tries.

Or perhaps take the impeller with you when you go and purchase the replacement pump - and there at the shop, try the impeller in the new pumps...

Alternatively - replace the pump with a ReefOcto OTP-225 or the ReSun King-2 pumps....

Thx,

The Resun is way too big. It has to fit onto the skimmer in the middle chamber of the back compartments of the nano.

Will look at the impeller replacement.
